Short and Simple: Shortcuts

They are the friends of numerous computer users, and find use every day: Shortcuts. They allow the user to quickly retrieve tools and functions in a programme / application. This saves a lot of laborious mouse clicking, as well as making the work easier and more effective. Professional programmers deliver a range of keyboard commands that the user can access. This is also the case with professional design programmes such as Adobe Indesign CC and Adobe Photoshop CC. If you would like to know which shortcuts are available for both of these programmes, you can display the full list of shortcuts.

Nobody has all the available shortcuts of a computer programme in his or her head, and certainly not for use on a daily basis. The selection is simply far too big. Shortcut professionals rely on individual, task-specific lists. In doing so, they mostly use shortcuts, while defining new ones or redefining existing ones. For example, if the shortcut does not yet exist.

At FLYERALARM, our designers could not do without the shortcuts they use in CC. Every individual has their own list within direct reach. We have taken a closer look at the lists used by our colleagues, and compiled a Top-Ten list for you to download. Of course, the classic ones such as “Ctrl-C” for “Copy” or “Ctrl-V” for “Paste” are listed, as everyone uses these. But perhaps there is a shortcut listed that you are not familiar with.
